Progress is progress! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh gosh—I messed up that link again!!! I went back and fixed it. I try to be very aware when copying links, but I don't remember having to be this careful. Sigh. So here are two more of the 50 Ways to Keep a Quilter (and her family) Happy While on Vacation! Enjoy!!!!

Here is that one again, so you don't have to return to yesterday's post.

And here is the series's next one (37, 36, 35, 34)

Hopefully, both work! I double-checked that the https:/ was included in the link, but it seems to ...

It's OK to be bored! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Yesterday was such a different day from the past month. I puttered all afternoon, but I also got some sewing done. OK, I mostly sewed and didn't putter much. I'm good as long as no one can see the mess on the screen. The camera faces a wall, so there is plenty of room in front of it to stash the mess!

With everything going on, I haven't been reading much lately. However, I recently received notifications about two ebooks that I had let lapse without finishing. I accepted both—more on that in a minute. I ...

Progress on my walking journey across the US from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh my—I'm rereading these blog posts about keeping a quilter happy while on vacation, and I love this one! It has lots of tips for keeping everyone happy.

I think I've discovered why those links didn't work last week. When a link comes up and I copy it, I need to ensure the "https:/" is included, or it will redirect back to my blog. How do I know that? I'm experimenting!

Today is election day in our province. For anyone eligible to vote, please get yourself out there and vote. And for those who think ...

Change is good (and necessary) from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Do NOT YELL at me, but I fail miserably at ergonomics at my house, especially in the office. Hence my poor posture, which was never good, and whatever other ailments that brings.

What happened? Well, you know I have this silly pain in my leg, and sitting on a hard chair is a tad uncomfortable. I've been good on my sewing chair in Studio B because it's somewhat cushy. But my office chair is not too well padded. Last night I hauled a comfy chair from Studio B to the office, and well, I'm embarrassed to say ...

A gaggle of half-square triangles from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

I had a great day yesterday. The pain had pretty much disappeared in the morning, and I buzzed around all day and accomplished a lot. I even "gloated," to which DH said I was a fool!

And he was right! I went to bed pain-free, and I woke up a couple of hours later in agony. So now I'm frustrated and exhausted, and we just won't go there.

I will host my two Zooms this morning, and then I think I'll take another magic pill and sleep this afternoon. I do NOT care how it wrecks my ...

Spice Market from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Oh my! I haven't responded to the comments lately, but I hope to have a wee bit of downtime as I travel from city to city in the next couple of days, so I will attempt to make that happen. But oh boy -- the books! Yep -- if you introduce your children to books, you never know what they will dream up!

For those who signed up for the Spice Market class, YES—there is still room if you haven't signed up yet. My goal this morning is to make the distribution list and then send out a quick ...

Classes for the fall from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

YES -- it's about time I got myself together to announce the classes for the fall.

The big news is that I'll teach Spice Market, a pattern by Wendy Williams. I LOVE the quilt, and I might be influenced by the colorway. But I'm going to change up that colorway just a bit!

Spice Market quilt pattern

This quilt offers many great techniques to learn or perfect, including triangle shapes, circles, log cabins, pineapples, and much more! The pattern includes colored photos with quilting inspiration and close-ups of the blocks.

Size:84" by 85".

Fabric Requirements: Requirements are ...

When your dog takes her bath into her own hands from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

We had a lot of rain yesterday, which was the aftermath of the latest storm. The forecast said we should expect buckets of rain the entire day. Well, it was a bizarre day, to say the least. It poured, then the sun came out and dried everything up—OK—maybe just the sidewalks. Then it poured again, then the sun came out. I managed to walk the dogs and my afternoon walk with no rain!

Now, I get that we had nothing compared to those when it was a real storm, but it was a very bizarre weather day. DH ...

EXCITEMENT abounds!!! from Crazy Quilter on a Bike!

Tammy hit the jackpot!!! She got both quilts right!!!

Here are the two quilts that I'm contemplating teaching in the fall. Now, I'll only teach one or the other, but not both - at least not simultaneously. I'm crazy, but not that crazy.

I have a few votes for one and some for the other - if you have comments, you can email me or comment on the blog. elainetheriault@gmail.com

Look who I spotted on the morning walk. Yep, after all that rain the night before, there were worms and a snail on the sidewalk! It seems ...
